During the summer of 2022 we transformed our old 5X6 Ideal garage into a wananga space. Brownie did the majority of the renovation including lining walls and ceiling, installing bifold doors and the bifold window, Sjimmy-Zev re did all the electrical work and lighting, Moeawa stained the rafters with Sikkens stain product, we relined the walls and ceiling with insulation and redline pine board from Mitre10, Modo Flooring Gisborne completed the concrete polishing, BJ Moss Gisborne supplied the colour steel cladding and guttering, Ngawari and Kito helped with labour, Manuao created our sign, mum the overall planning/quality control and Apenti provided strategic advice. Selwyn Pohatu organised the concrete and drove the digger, Hauturu provided the mamaku (Cyathea medullaris) carving , Heremaia Barlow designed and applied the Kowhai and Ngutukākā graphics for the ceiling lights, Eco Demo Windows & Doors provided the 4X 2 bi-fold ​doors and window. 
Te Whare Piringa was blessed and opened for and at Eddie Tamanui 10th anniversary of his passing.
